Our 19 spacious rooms are designed to make your stay a pleasurable one. Room names such as 'Lady Claire' and 'Clan Mackay' reflect a bygone era adding to the nostalgic charm of this beautiful Victorian Lodge.

The bedrooms at The Tongue Hotel have been designed to a high quality achieving the delicate balance between regard for its history whilst providing modern day comfort. Each room has been individually decorated to be simple, welcoming, romantic and unpretentious. Many of the rooms are furnished with original pieces including marble wash stands, Victorian fire places and beautifully crafted furniture.

With single, twin, double and family rooms available parties of all sizes can be accommodated. With its generous public facilities and intimate number of rooms the hotel lends itself perfectly for exclusive use, perhaps for an intimate wedding or a family gathering. All hotel rooms have modern facilities including digital TV, telephones, hospitality tray, and ironing facilities. The personal touch is enhanced by the provision of a complimentary decanter of sherry, sweets, fresh fruit and Gilchrist and Soames toiletries. All rooms are ensuite providing bath, shower or bath and shower units, should you have a preference just simply enquire on booking.

The surrounding countryside can be enjoyed from all the rooms. Views include the stunning Ben Hope, the delightful ruin of Castle Varrich overlooking the Kyle and the charming vista down towards the village of Tongue set at the foot of Ben Loyal – the Queen of Scottish Mountains.

Master bedrooms are generally more spacious and boast wider seascape and landscape views. During the past 3 years many of the rooms have been refurbished, bathrooms have been upgraded and two master suites have been created including the Duke of Sutherland suite with cosy bedroom, grand sitting room and two bathrooms! Refurbished rooms have been sympathetically treated to delight both new arrivals and the hotels loyal family of returning guests.
